The state of my anthurium means I'm not entirely qualified to pass judgement, but I can't see rust on the photo. I do wonder if an infestation of spider mite has occurred, because that could create the symptoms you describe. You'd need a 10x magnifier to see the mites....well, at least I do. You might see their very fine webbing with the naked eye."Everything's just f.....ine!"0

Better photos, what to do if it is spider mites, have looked throughly and do not seem to be.
Do you still think spider mites are the culprit. Thanks
