Sent a Package in April to France which was failed to be delivered, eventually after a lot of toing and froing it was to be returned to UK but last entry on May 5th said at wrong depot then nothing, complained and eventually put in a complaint and eventually at beginning of July they agreed parcel was lost. I had put it value as £700 on original parcel details, took the insurance for £700, submitted documentation showing that goods cost more than the £700 but Parcelforce show value as £700 but parcel protection at £500 and are are saying will only pay £500. I rected original offer but today they have come back and said all they will pay is £500, Silly me didnt insure them for what it will cost me to replace the items which will be now in excess of £1000. Where do I go from here?

It doesn't make sense if you insured the parcel for £700 and they are only covering for £500. I think others have been caught out by underinsuring which makes the cover invalid but this doesn't seem to be the case here.0

what service did you use? Globalvalue has a maximum compensation level of £500 (page 16)

You said ' took the insurance for £700,' Who did you take the insurance out with?
