Well done on your work thoughts @abundant1972. Hope you feel better soon @lcc86. Glad the rain didn't last any longer @f0xh0les, sorry the holidays plans are on the back burner.
Went for a damp walk after breakfast. Stopped at the post office to pay money in & buy entry wristbands for the local agricultural show next week. On the way home DS3 asked me to collect him from a sleepover he'd been on. Once home, I filled up the car with things to drop off at a neighbour's, who works in a CS, then filled the diesel tank up. Prices are steadily starting to rise again. Picked DS up, then made broccoli & stilton soup, using frozen veg & cheese bought for last C-word, but DH can no longer eat. He announced that he can if it's cooked, so we both had soup for our dinner. Faffed about, then eventually started altering a skirt, from an A-line one, to having buttons up the front & a half elasticated waistband. Had s break for tea & doing the dishes, but didn't get it finished til just after 10pm!
Made the decision to have a week off at the end of next week, then I can relax a bit before heading back to school on the 21st.
Grateful for delicious soup, getting the sewing frog done, watching Mr & Mrs Blackbird hopping & chasing each other round the garden
Haven't managed to drink my 2 litres of water today, but the other criteria for #75soft are going well 😃Use it up, wear it out

Good morning, just a quick check in from my phone. Day 7 of my 30 day daily run challenge done ✅. Not running/walking far yet but improving and at least sth to do after we get woken every morning at 6 am by the factory next door. Holiday budget is over now as food and fuel and everything else are so expensive 😲. Went to this really fun outdoor climbing place yesterday and will go a lovely walk today. Still, looking fwd to getting back home, back to routine, seeing the cats etc. Catch up properly soon.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/259

Attempted to try been in the moment yesterday whist at the allotment. I'm often in the future, the past or living in an alternative reality. It was quite hard to stop intruding thoughts or wandering off topic. But I managed it and was able to see what I had achieved up there in the time that I had.
Sewing jobs and paperwork jobs that I had been putting off finally completed and put away. Took time to relive some happy memories whilst replacing several photos with more up to date ones. Managed to wear an outfit from my wardrobe that wasn't jeans and a t-shirt - part of this month's goal. This month's goal is to sort through our room and bathroom.
Grateful for
1) most of my tea was grown by me.
2) snuggles on the sofa
3) waking up with no migraine

Good morning turtles. I'd love to join please @grandmanerd.
I shouldn't talk in superlatives but I feel I've just gone through the hardest week of my adult life. My boyfriend of 5 years and I broke up and although it was my decision, I'm utterly devastated. Causing him pain has really upset me and it is even more of a wrench to leave due to the fact that he is my whole life here in Madrid apart from work (I have very few friends outside his friendship group - a mistake I never seem to learn from...)
I am 80% sure it's the right decision (why is there always that doubt?!) but it has been so very hard... on the plus side I seem to be stronger than I thought I was. I'm sure getting into this challenge will help to distract me and get me through this. Sending love to all of you, I haven't caught up on posts yet but I hope you are all doing well xxStudent loan £5655

This is something I've started to do. When feeling below par I've ruthlessly edited my 'to do' list down to the essentials.
Thoughts are not facts.
How to stop your negative self talk
1 Become aware of your self-limiting beliefs
Start by becoming aware of self-limiting beliefs that keep recurring in your thoughts
2 Be the scientist of your life
Really question if your belief seems like a plausible explanation or if it is a belief you have developed because of your circumstances and you can now begin to let go of.
3 Choose to stop buying into them
Recognise these are beliefs unique to your experiences and just because you have bought into them your whole life doesn't mean you have to keep buying into them
4 Start building new beliefs
Re-frame your negative self-limiting beliefs with positive beliefs that are more aligned with WHO you want to be and HOW you want to show up each day
5 Keep at it
Small steps in awareness is the first step to living more consciously, building new beliefs and letting go of your self-limiting beliefs

How to stop negative self-talk
Get a little notebook and write down any negative self-talk when it crops up
Then ask yourself "Is it true?", "Does believing this serve me or anyone else?", "Does believing this help me reach my goals?"
These questions help you to interrupt the negative thought spiral
