Well there's Laura Mercier moisturising foundation, which is given an excellent rating and is described as exactly what you're looking for:

"Moisturizing Foundation would be suitable for normal to dry skin seeking medium to almost full coverage. The texture is elegantly light and creamy, leaving a beautiful, slightly dewy finish. Six of the seven colors are excellent, although shades for darker skin tones are absent. Avoid Shell Beige, which is too pink." :)

Thanks Palice for your long reply - I like the sound of the Laura Mercier and will try it out at our local Fenwicks - then will have to see if I can get it cheaper abroad.

Going back to Mrs E (post on 11.6.08). I am a recent convert to Mac make up and love their noisy black mascara (goes on really well, is waterproof and makes lashes look great), their eyeshadow and their lovely soft eyeliners. I also brought an eyeliner blending brush which smudges far better than those rubbery ones. I get my friend who travels to the US frequently to get it for me as it is half the price over there!

I got hold of some of the Waitrose baby bottom butter.
I wouldn't use it on my face, but its lovely for elbows, neck, dry bits, ect.

Rimmel - Kate Moss advertised - Glam Eyes Mascara is awesome!! Makes your lashes dead long and sexy :):) You totally can't cry in the non-waterproof one though!!

As for Mac - I often go into Harvey Nick's in Leeds... and the colours look fab ... but I'm too intimidated by all the good-looking assistants and I don't know what you're meant to dom with half the stuff :(

I know that some of you buy MAC goods, and this site sells a few of them cheaper than from the shops.
  • Favourite products:

Neutrogena double sided cleansing cloths, great but I just use them for a treat for my skin.
Face scrub from Avon, it's from the orange range of skincare for normal skin, couldn't tell you what they've started calling it now though.
Urban Decay do the best liquid eyeliner, just the right size of brush and I've never had to pay full price thanks to magicmakeup.co.uk so it's cheap!
Badger Balm for lip and body balm.
Always get Body Shop body butter in the sales!
Avon is generally a good brand although I'm biased, was a Rep for 3 years.
W7 do really good shimmer pots like the Barry M ones but a lot cheaper.

Anyone know a good tinted moisturiser that's not oily and that's quite fair?
