Morning all. Heart nurse didn't make it today again, he blew out his tyre on a pothole and broke the wheel as well. Had a phone call instead so that's it for another month. There's a lot fo cooking in my future today, I have chicken to marinade and cook then freeze for quick flatbread lovelieness, some falafel to cook and I was toying with making a gumbo or etoufee, never made either before so a trawl for recipes is on the cards. I have some cooked flour in the freezer ready from another time. I know I'm mixing up my recipes but I love trying new things so I'll narrow it down later on. Green bin day today without any cut grass because of course it bucketed down as soon as I took the clothes off the line. OOps, got distracted...and now I'm late for something...Keep on going everyone, take care!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7

Morning everyone Snoozer I don’t think you are bad at all family can be hard work at times I’ve got a daughter-in-law that we have to tiptoe around constantly only I don’t now if I stood on my hands and clapped my feet for her I would be doing it wrong she stopped us seeing the little girl for nine years over something nobody ever found out what then she walked in the house two years ago with all three children two who we had never seen and said hi I’ve just come to show you our new puppy talk about our jaws hitting the floor then decided they couldn’t cope with the puppy and we got it three months later she wanted it back then we have to look after it when they go on holiday we are getting it next week but last time they went on holiday we weren’t allowed it for some unknown slight I could tell you things that would make your hair curl I just let her get on now she’s either speaking or she isn’t. Well guess what it’s raining again but it is warm I went to my cleaning job at the house were the granddaughter caused a mess today I think her daughter had come and cleaned most of the mess up so it was alright but they were fine I felt guilty because they had paid me for the three weeks they were away but she just said don’t worry about it we paid you to come to work and you did mind you I did a great big pile of holiday ironing aaaaargh now I’m having a cuppa and a sandwich and I will go to work and iron what you have to do to pay the bills . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Hi all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
I received my VR letter at lunchtime - have been successful but no terms and conditions have been shared yet. I will find out more 'in August' so back to waiting......
DH is in Solihull today and tomorrow so I'm going to see Barbie tonight on my own. DS2 didn't fancy it and is working until 8pm anyway. I've had a cooked lunch of egg and SW chips so that I only need something light later.
How lovely for Ben to get all those spuds @London_1. Hope your appointment went okay yesterday.
Hope your friends feels better soon @TravellingAbuela and you too @camelot1001 x
Enjoy the theatre trip @Suffolksue and happy cooking @-taff
Have a good day all

Grandsons Ben and Jack were so excited yesterday, you'd have thought they were digging up treasure instead of spuds
My old friend from Dartford came this morning , her husband dropped her off for a couple of hours. She's definitely not herself bless her
She kept losing the thread of what she was telling me, and forgetting her words, she apparently no longer drives, as her OH is worried in case she gets 'lost'. I was pleased to see her, but feel sad as I have a good idea whats going long with her, but we had a good chinwag and I kept her laughing.
She doesn't sew or knit anymore, which is a shame as she was a brilliant quilter and crocheted so many things over the years, and she told me she doesn't read much at all as she forgets the story too quickly. I had a feeling when I saw her before Christmas that something wasn't right bless herShe says its just old age, but she's only 6 weeks older than me
She's normally such a bubbly lively person but she's changed so much in the past 6 months raging can be a cruel process at times
The sun has decided to make an appearance, its not cold at all, just a bit damp today and very cloudy. Only 5 more days fingers crossed before my op.
Hope everyone has had a good day
