HC3 NHS costs how does it work?

Hi, sorry if I've posted in the wrong place. I wasn't sure what category it would go under.
I've been told me and my husband have been awarded an HC3 certificate for help with NHS costs. We used to get an HC2, but carers allowance has increased our income.
I'm not entirely sure how it works. I was told we will have to pay the first £78.93 each for dental treatment and £56.62 each towards glasses vouchers.
Does that mean we have to pay the first £78.93 of every individual dentist visit or the first £78.93 each year?
The certificate's still in the post at the moment.
Thank you.

Thank you.
So if you visit every 3 months for a check-up and clean each one is septate.
if you had a tooth out, but needed to return to the dentist 4 times because of that, that is one treatment
