Anyone with bamboo flooring?

Hi,
I've looked at some bamboo flooring and waiting to receive some sample, but the more I read about this kind of flooring the more I find contrasting information.
I've also ordered some engineered hardwood flooring samples, and more are on their way. So far I can't avoid to feel them quite flimsy (on one I could break the tongue with almost no effort).
The solid wood samples that I have look MUCH more sturdy, but glueing and nailing are a definite no no no.
Does anyone have bamboo flooring? I've asked samples of the "engineered" and "woven" ones that can be installed with a click system.
Do they scratch and/or discolour easily?
Do they suffer the humidity?
Any oddity that they are subject to?
Overall, in your experience did you find them more delicate or more resistent than equivalent hardwood flooring?
Thanks.

We've had a floating floor of strand woven bamboo in Uniclic planks down for a few years. It seems very durable. No stains or discolouring. No scratches and no other damage but for one small dent where I dropped a heavy cast iron casserole. Even that you wouldn't notice if you didn't know where to look.
Ours doesn't have any water damage. The stuff we have is sold as being okay to use in bathrooms, so humidity shouldn't be a problem for it.0 -
Nice to read that, thanks!
I have a few samples on my way.0 -
Really impressive samples.
Not only they look much more solid and durable than what I've seen so far (I couldn't even break the tongue with all my strength), but it seems incredibly resistant to water too: I've soaked a sample in a bucket of water for a day and it didn't swell at all.0 -
I fitted one in a bathroom, 10 years on it still looks good!
Bathroom is a bit frumpy but it was an old couple, as it was a bathroom I used waterproof pva in the joints.Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'0
