Cruise supplement required for a river cruise?

I have a current annual policy with Insure & Go but haven't included a cruise supplement because I only ever expected this to be required for ocean cruises (due to the cost of transferring someone if taken ill at sea). I don't have a cruise booked now and have held off booking one because of the apparent need to pay a supplement. I would never do more than 1 cruise in a year so don't want to pay extra to top up my annual policy. Is this a general requirement for river cruises now? I have only ever done 1 river cruise 20 years ago and it didn't occur to me to even ask about a cruise supplement then.

I think it probably depends on the insurance. Some of them include river cruises a standard without needing the extra supplement. You probably need to check the terms and conditions or check with the insurer directly. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
