I got a call from a number claiming Fonehouse on account of interest registered by me on Samsung galaxy S23 ultra on Three website. They send me a mail showing contact summary of above smartphone. Unfortunately I shared the account details and 49 pounds has been deducted from my account
I didn't receive any calls or emails further and when I searched on Google I saw this platform and I came to know it was a fraud. What can I do know to prevent further money being looted.

Please give a emergency response

    Fonehouse is a legit company.
Did you register interest on their website, thus receiving the call?
Why did you give your account details? Was this on the fonehouse website or via email?

You might want to remove your name and order number from the screenshot.

Pretty obvious scam not least of all from the bad english and spelling mistakes on the e-mail.

What account are you referring to that they've taken money from? A bank account? Seems like you need to contact whoever it is that account is with and tell them the story and see what they advise you.

    Hi OP,

Contact your bank now. If you’re not sure what emergency number there is - there should be a number on the back of your bank card. Call that. They should be open 24/7 and be able to block any further transactions. Don’t wait until the morning, do it now.

It does seem like you’ve been scammed, unfortunately. Unfortunately it happens to a lot of people, so please don’t feel any stress. Talk to your family about it, especially if someone (like a partner) has access to your account. Two sets of eyes on the account sometimes is better to spot any irregularities in payment information.

Other than calling the bank and letting them help you with it, there isn’t much we can do on this board, but genuinely it can happen to anyone so please don’t feel any stress from it.

If you need anything in the meantime I’ll keep my eyes on this board for the next few hours
