Courtesy car damage

I currently have a courtesy car and my son with learning difficulties had a meltdown and broke the rear vents in the car 😔 it's been a bad month!!
I told the garage because I didn't want to be dishonest. The part online is like £50 but waiting for garage to confirm a price for the repair.
If they come back with something really unreasonable am I able to dispute this? I am just worried they might change me hundreds to replace it.

A part being £50 doesnt mean a repair will be £50... at a minimum will be the labour to repair it but potentially also loss of use of the vehicle whilst its awaiting/being repaired and a nominal admin fee1 -

I guess I'll see what they say and go from there. Appreciate the reply 👍1 -

The manufacturer will have listed a labour time for replacing the part - the dealer should charge that time multiplied by their labour rate/e.g. Remove and install vent 1.2 hrs1
