Morning all..Missed yesterday as was doing things, going places etc and then multi napping on the sofa. No plans today except tidy, the heart nurse is coming to the house this week, his office is being refurbished. It's sunny at the moment so I may even be able to get some washing dried. Apart from that, I have an empty day ahead. OH is on lates so it's easy ramen for supper, so no cooking either. I do have a scarf crochet kit to do but that involves learning how to do a magic circle so I might get on that. It's chunk y wool so shouldn't take long.TA, how funny you have an early warning system for your hairdresser
camelot, your station tour sounds great. Scarlet, glad the wax popping worked! dp1, enjoy Croatia! Jackie, that's great service. I also ave to congratulate Sainsburys for the same. I did a survey for extra points, they never materialised so I phoned to complain. Points added straightaway. Only 300 [ not as impressive] but still useful
Gers, hope they work for you..Floss, take it easy and go gentle [but not into that good night] Nancy, is it time to plan a trip?
Take care folks, stay safe...

Morning everyone
Just a quickie as I'm off out for coffee soon. I had a lovely quiet day yesterday - reading, pottering in the garden and my bags packed. I don't need a lot as I'm just away for 4 days and the forecast is for lovely sunshine - hopefully I'll bring some back with me!
Little one is coming at lunchtime for a play and then her mummy will pick us up later and drop me off at the station. Just at the airport hotel to sleep (though I probably won't) and then I fly just after 6 in the morning. Very excited to see eldest DD and spend a few days with her.
Little cat has been out once this morning and is now indoors crying - I don't dare let her out again in case she's not back in time to get picked up at 2pm.
Hope everyone has a good few days 'see' you all soon x9 -
Morning all, hope all is well with you all.Quite nice here atm but not that warm, I was a bit chilly too last night watching tv. I was going to pop into town to update DH bus/ rail pass but he hasn't taken it out of his wallet despite looking at it at weekend
.We are hopefully going into M/cr on Thursday to meet up with my ex SIL & hubby for some lunch, rare day off for DH
Oh well I'll clear the backlog of ironing instead and book my sm delivery, & well done Jackie to Tesco after reading about your late DH vouchers, a heartwarming story.
I've just washed the front downstairs windows, thought all the rain might have done it for me but alas no, they were very muckyChilli went down well last night, and some packed away for the freezer too. Chicken shawarma on flatbreads tonight.DH had a look on the webcam last night for where we stayed last year on Rhodes, couldn't see much but it's been taken down this morning & DN posted something about her lovely wedding hotel so hope everyone there is ok. They were all so lovelyI'm not sure which island Ruby went to but hope she's unaffected.

Happy holiday to DP1, I just really love how close you and your DDs are.Bella - poor wee man!Taff - I hope that your heart nurse gives you a good report. After another sharp downpour the sun is back out. The farmer is moving his cows around and they are being very vocal about it. And the geese are scudding across the fields in large numbers again. The countryside is far away from being peaceful and quiet!7

Coxy11 - no discomfort so don't need pain relief.
Been in town after J painted all the bare wood on the stairs - dries in 30 minutes.

Thanks @FlorenceemSo a day of highs and lows. Found out I am going to be offered VR. Should hear exact terms tomorrow re: money and leaving date. I didn’t get the role I interviewed for yesterday. The head of the panel rang me just before 5pm and said it was close between me and an existing employee. She said I was ‘brilliant’ and that she wants me to work for her so will keep me in mind for other roles. I said I’d appreciated the interview practice and that the timing probably wasn’t right anyway. So, I feel okay about it. Bit nervous about VR but we shall see what the offer is.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings9
