can I get universal credit if my partner moves out for uni?

We currently have a mortgage and one child who will be staying at home with me. My partner will get the full student loan, however I will be struggling without universal credit. My partner is named on the mortgage so I am not sure how this will affect what universal credit I can get and I am struggling to find the answer online. Any help would be much appreciated

I don't think you could legitimately claim as a single person.
Absences for the following reasons would not normally mean that the couple have stopped LTAMC (living together as a married couple)
…
5. higher education.

With your partner's loan, some of it should be disregarded and with the couple allowance and child element presumably there should be some UC left. The interaction of student finance with UC is complicated though

Suggest that you get some local advice. Citizens Advice to review benefits and budgeting. And also your local Council may have teams that help families with low incomes, where they help with employment options, childcare options etc.
Your post does not provide enough information to enable more comprehensive advice from posters to this site. Hence why local confidential advice may be right option for you.The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1
