Annual travel insurance

I have annual travel insurance which expires next February. I have just booked a holiday for next June. If I don't renew with my present provider, and take out cover with another insurer, would the new provider pay out if, say, I had to cancel the trip? Bearing in mind that I booked the holiday while insured with another company.

Contact your new potential insurer and ask the question.

If you decide to change providers please ensure that there is no time lapse between the switchover. If something untoward (God forbid) happened to anybody on the policy during the interim then they would be not covered for inability to travel when holiday time comes around.1

Unless there is a massive difference in price it might pay you to stay with the same provider this time but i am sure people will confirm that it is possible to take out another policy and still be covered.1
