Order via McDonald's App, delivery via Uber Eats

Place a delivery order via my McDonald's account on their app. Charged £3.99 for delivery, which McDonald's used Uber Eats for. On the Uber Eats website it states delivery as £3,29. I assume the difference was because I was placing the order direct with McDonalds.
So when the order finally arrived 1hr 4 minutes after being placed, and it was cold, as although we are only 1.2 miles away from the restaurant the driver had taken approx 25 minutes to deliver it. Who is responsible for delivery? McDonalds as it was them I placed the order with? They say not, delivery is the responsibility of Uber Eats, and I was told to contact them. How? I don't know as I have not got an account with them and after today's experience will never use that again

Your contract is with McDonald's, so if unhappy with any aspect of the food, it should be them that sorts it out.

That's what I thought, eventually the manager agreed to replacing the food, but no joy with the delivery chargeTypically confused and asking for advice0

I’ve previously had an issue with a McDonald’s order placed via the McDonalds app but delivered by Uber Eats. From memory there was a link in the email received from McDonalds, something about delivery issues, which directed me to a Uber Eats help page with a telephone number.
A very quick conversation resulted in them issuing a full refund.2 -
Thanks, managed to get a contact number via the McDonald's virtual assistant from a customer services link on my order email. Will give them a ring and see if I get any joyTypically confused and asking for advice0

Well complaining to Uber Eats was a complete waste of time.
As far as they were concerned the order was delivered so therefore complete.Typically confused and asking for advice0 -
I've never ordered McDs for delivery as it doesn't stay hot for long enough anyway so I'd never expect it to be delivered in good condition. If its only 1.2miles away probably better off walking up and eating in while the foods still hot.0

I use to order no pickles and always cooked fresh and was hot. Now they moved to "freshly prepared" that means the burger have have been sitting for ages till someone puts it in the bun.
At times still order fries no salt, as they normally have to be freshly fried, then add my own salt.
Even the apple pies aren't as hot as they use to be, also shot up in price and smaller.

Fries seem to be hot though, almost burnt my mouth last visit.0 -
We normally would of collected, but as I was going out I ordered a meal for the children to be delivered. The Idea being I could get ready whilst it was on its way.
As it turned out I never got to go out as had to wait 1hr 5mins for delivery and then cook them something hot to eat.
Mcdonalds agreed to replace the food and also gave 2 free drinks, which I picked up this weekTypically confused and asking for advice4
