One nominated account for a joint savings account???

I'm trying to set up a joint savings account with Shawbrook, but, upon applying, they ask for a single nominated account. It claims you can withdraw and deposit ONLY from this nominated account. So, how does the second person on this joint account get to withdraw and deposit independently? Once the account is set-up, does person #2 get to nominate their own nominated account as well? I don't see anything about that, but surely a JOINT savings account can't be restricted to ONE nominated account, can it?

Does anyone have an account with Shawbrook like this, or know any further details?
Thanks

We have set up a joint savings account to have our joint current account as the nominated one. Perhaps the assumption is that if you have a joint savings account you might also have a current account?

It seems reasonable for a joint savings account to be linked to a joint current account.

I dont think they have ever said the linked account needs to be a current account. I have our joint Shawbrook account linked to a joint Lloyds savings account.
