Working hours confusion moving to UC

Hi, so as it is right now 0 work commitments for husband.
however, September 2023 i think essentially removing “light touch” so he will have work prep meetings, everyone has work meetings till working full time (its mad, its big, its being rolled out slowely in a phased approach)
re couples aet - its not costed till 2024 so April 2024 at earliest (if at all), you can see costings on their spring budget document.0 -
So its not costed till 2024 and is just a proposal at min i think they will find themselves very busy 2023 , with this new in work progression offer which if you go on turn 2 us benefit time table will give you full definition of changes0

Thanks for the replies. The difference between UC and our current situation appears to be that if she starts work, any earnings will count against housing benefit. With UC it appears that she will be expected to work, or look for work. Going through the various calculators with our current situation, they all show that we'd be significantly better off on UC. However, having to work will be the cost of that increase, but we effectively keep it, or much more of it.0
