• Competition closes at 10:00 (10am) on 05.10.2023 and 3 working days later for postal entries

1) The prize comprises:

a) Columbo Season 10 Volume 1 DVD

b)Law and Order SVU Season 22 DVD

c) Murder She Wrote Season 1-12 Complete Boxset

d) NCIS Season 19 DVD

e) Criminal Minds Season 15 DVD

f) Return economy class flights from London to New York (includes hand luggage);

g) An allowance of £50 per person (£100 total) towards travel costs in New York made payable to the winner in the form of a BACS transfer;

h) Accommodation for two at a 4* hotel in New York near Times Square, based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a twin/double room (subject to availability);

i) Daily breakfast, consisting of cooked and/or continental;

j) Bottle of champagne to be in hotel room on arrival;

k) Two (2) tickets to a show of choice on Broadway (subject to availability);

2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of their congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.

3) The prize must be taken and completed within 12 months of the congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and cannot be taken during Christmas and New Year (20th December 2023 to 4th January 2024) or over any UK and US Public Holidays (28th August 2023, 4th September 2023, 23rd November 2023, 29th March 2024 to 1st April 2024, 6th May 2024, 27th May 2024, 4th July 2024 and 26th August 2024). The prize and its components are subject to availability.

4) Flights may be indirect and the routing will be determined by the prize provider.

5) The prize winner and their companions must hold current and valid passports and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry into the USA. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for themselves and their companions. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the trip. For the latest advice from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office on travel to the USA, including security and local laws, plus passport and visa information, check www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.

6) Travel insurance is not included but it is strongly advised for travel. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining appropriate travel insurance for themselves and their companion.

7) Either the prize winner or their companion must be over the age of 21 to check into the hotel. Where the prize winner is under 21 years old, they must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over to check into the hotel. Please note that either the prize winner or their companions will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or their companions adhere to the local laws in the USA. It is highly recommended that the prize winner and their companion obtain advice from a medical professional in advance of travelling and ensure that vaccinations are up to date.

8) The exact hotel will be determined by the donor Bon Voyage. The hotel is guaranteed to be 4* and located near Times Square, Manhattan.

9) Both the prize winner and their companion may have to show ID to the hotel before the bottle of champagne can be delivered. If either the prize winner or their guest is under 21 then the hotel may refuse to serve the champagne. If this is the case then one (1) alcoholic and one (1) soft drink of choice will be offered instead.

10) The Broadway show of choice will be chosen by both the winner and prize provider (Bon Voyage) and will be subject to availability. Not all shows may be available. 

11) The prize excludes transfers between the winner’s home and the airport, drinks, additional meals, excursions, attractions, spa treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, travel insurance and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize. 

12) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the prize winner and his/her companion when taking the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.

13) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. Neither Channel 5 nor Element will accept responsibility for the accommodation or any facilities being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.

14) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.

15) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.

16) An allowance towards US travel costs/transfers will be provided to the winner only. The allowance is calculated at a set maximum of £50 per guest (£100 total) and will be made payable to the winner at the time of accommodation booking by the prize provider as a BACS transfer. Transfers to the hotel in New York are not included and what the travel allowance should be for. Neither Channel 5 nor the prize provider are responsible for organising ground travel arrangements for this prize, it will be the prize winner’s responsibility to organise this appropriately throughout their stay unless otherwise stated.
