Started dry here and I was going into town but changed my mind - having a sewing day - pics on craft thread. I have made 25 stockings so far - Mr F is waiting for me to say - "I am fed up with sewing stockings". Will cut out another 5 stockings after a cup of tea - I have orders for stockings.
DGd brought me 24 free range extra large eggs yesterday - out of date today so they wouldn't sell them in the farm shop where she works.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Afternoon everyone
Late one from me as little one stayed last night. I must have just fallen asleep when the alarm went off as her blood sugar was too low. By the time I had put glucose gel on her gums and milk in her tummy tube she was wide awake and fussing she didn't want to be left by herself so she came into my bed - so it was a rather disturbed night as she sleeps like a blummin starfish and I end up with 12 inches of bed. From just before 6 she was like the speaking clock...granny it's six zero one..now it's six zero three and on and on until 10 to 7 when I gave in and gave her the ipad and had another doze.
Never mind we had a very lazy morning and then went into town after lunch where one of the parks was holding a mini beast afternoon...we had a lovely time. We were forecast rain all day but other than a few drops it has been really nice. She did pond dipping and looked at the pond creatures through a microscope, a butterfly trail, made a bee, saw baby hedgehogs which were very cute and found creatures in compost. Then there was a company visiting with big beasties...she was so brave and held a giant African snail and I ...very unexpectedly...held a huge hairy tarantula! Never before have I been so brave and probably never again...but it was worth it for the look of amazement on little one's face and the way she shouted 'granny I'm so proud of you!' She had everyone laughing.
We spent a good couple of hours there and then went for a hot chocolate while we waited for DD to pick us up. Little one was really on her best behaviour and was so polite and asked really sensible questions of all the helpers - I was proud of her - she can be a little madam sometimes but not today.
I made chicken curry for my tea and it really wasn't very nice - I don't know where I go wrong with curry but I think I'll have to go back to using a jar! I had chicken, onion. curry paste , chopped tomatoes and coconut milk and it just didn't have much flavour.
School had their leavers assembly yesterday afternoon and some of the big girls ,who are off to middle school in September, came in for a hug and to have their t shirts signed - they were all crying bless them. Most of them started at nursery with us when they were just 2 or 3. Little one did point out last night that it had been a bit weird at nursery 'with all that hugging!'
Well I'd better get washed up - any tips on making curry would be appreciated. Hope everyone has had a good day x7
