It's a wishy-washy start to the day. The promised rains didn't arrive yesterday which turned into a fine day.My blood pressure was perfect 😀 which pleased both the nurse and me. I enjoyed the drive up the coast to the shops though I didn't linger, two shops and then the petrol station was enough for me.A chap from the body shop phoned to book my car in for repair - 12 September was the earliest date. 😱 And I have to phone up a few days before then to check that they have got the parts in, they're having some difficulties getting supplies. This morning I'm going to visit a couple of friends for tea and chat. The knee exercises are beginning to help as I slept through the night without pain waking me.I'm sending hugs to our poorlies - and wish every a happy Saturday.10

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers. - Sorry to hear about your car
Weather for today is rain, so it looks like a day for staying in.
Yesterday I went with a friend to see the film Mission Impossible - it was action packed and I really enjoyed it.
Hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.

Morning GERS and all to follow. Wishy washy weather here too. And we didn't get the promised rain either yesterday.
DD and the girls are at a wedding today and it's not going to be the best of weather for the happy couple by the sound of it.. Eldest is a bridesmaid.
I was going to have a bus ride out somewhere today but now feel I cba. I might do some batch cooking instead if I can cope with the excitement!
Have a nice day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers - glad you have a date for the car fix.
Looking a bit grey here but not due rain until this afternoon. I have DS2s uniform on a hot wash, to peg out shortly. Need to strip DDs bed as DDad being picked up today and BFF and her DH are staying in that room tonight. Will need to tumble dry it I think - we'll see.
I'm not staying to FC this morning as have to get back to clean the house and puppy sit. DH, DS1 and DS2 are fixing the cars this morning - new exhaust and suspension (not the same car) are on the agenda.
Glad you enjoyed the film @iris - that's next on our list. Not sure I want to see Barbie but definitely do want to see Oppenheimer. Just need to find the time.
May find out about VR this coming week #excited.
Have a good day all,

Morning all. The promised rain woke me up earlier but it's now stopped.
Yesterday we went to see a friend in her new house. I had booked us a pub lunch but the previous day the pub phoned me to cancel; never had that happen before. It seems that there is a large gathering of Travellers arriving over the weekend and they have been told by the Brewery to close. Luckily we managed we get in elsewhere but even they were closing at 5pm.
Back to today and DH is out for most of the time so I thought I'd take a bus trip into MK and get a bit of shopping and go to the Library. Better make the most of my bus pass seeing as I won't have too much heavy shopping.
Have taken some chicken thighs out of the freezer to make a Thai chicken curry tonight and there should be some left over for another day.
Happy Saturday everyone.11 -
Morning all Brr its chilly here but no rain expected till later this afternoon so some washing is on the line we will see how it goes . Nothing much happening today DS has changed sites and will be working 12-8 so all change here just need to baby proof the house for DGS, DD2 has messaged me to say he isn't sleeping well and is getting clingy so we will have to see how it goes hopefully its just another stage and will pass shortly other than that all quiet on the western front

Morning allYesterday weather forecast said rain. Checked it this morning and no rain expected all day now! Will put a towel wash on in a mo and make the most of the dry day!@WickedLady4 we have a large park near us that I used during lockdown to go walking in instead of sitting on my bum all day wondering what to do with myself and every year travellers break into the car park and stay until Council get rid. We have 25 caravans there at the moment!Going to do some baking this morning and might get into the garden for a while to do some dead heading.Have a good day all x11

Morning all 😊
Lashing with rain this morning - my forecast says 90% chance of rain all morning, with 99% chance at precisely 11am 😂 My laundry basket is filling as it's been wet all week but it can wait until Monday to get washed & go on the maiden.
I've got DB, DSiL and DN coming over for food & staying tonight. They're bringing the mains and I will make a chocolate pudding to have with icecream from the freezer.
Not much else going on so I will go & placate the cat who's sulking because it is raining outside BOTH front & back doors - how dare it?! 🤣2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Coxy hope you hear positive things next weekWicked Lady, my bus pass has been working overtime this week !Bella good luck babyproofing- I loved looking after DGS a couple of days a week when he was a baby until he went to school. I didn't get much chance with DGD to do that as her mum didn't work when she was younger.Right time for a coffee, then get to the cupboard sorting. Take care all x
