    Does (and did she always) also live in the same property please?  If not, don't think he'd be a lodger.

    Suggest she engages a solicitor who SPECIALISES in this sort of legal muddle.

    A lesson to all not to permit occupation without carefully documented terms.

    Is there a reason why he won't go?  E.g. he can't afford to rent elsewhere, or he thinks they might get back together if he stays?  Understanding why someone is doing something is often important to find the right solution.  ('right' in the sense he goes voluntarily and happily, rather than being forced out by a lock change)
    Nope...it seem, he just doesn't listen to anything women say!!

    Update....locks are changed and it seems he's about to sent packing(although, pigeons are gone and he has very little stuff there now.
    Looks like a result!
