Purchased in 2016, 2018 was first claim for repair/replaceRefluentBeans said:Depends when in 2018 they were bought. It’s not a 1 year warranty included in a 4 year warranty; it’s a 1 year warranty then a 4 year warranty (5 year total). Sequential not parallel.
Basically consumer rights do apply but can't be enforced via the courts as the date of the breach of contract for goods which do not conform is the day of delivery. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
OP stated:In 2018, they replaced the blind, and offered me a discount to purchase 3 more blinds to match as the replacement wasn't available in the original colour

The one originally replaced under warranty won’t be covered but the three in addition is still covered by the warranty, as these were purchased new not replaced under warranty.1 -
1 is still out of warranty. As it is not reset on that one. Op has not said which has failed? could be they have no idea as I guess the 4 blinds came together & nothing stating this is warranty replacement.RefluentBeans said:

Blinds2Go are saying it isn't repairable, as the cause of the cord snapping is due to a manufacturing fault, which only has a 1 year warranty.

Not one that would pass the sniff test with me tbh - 'yes your part would have been replaced under warranty but because we built the product wrong we don't have to and you lose'. Without reading the warranty terms of course we can only speculate but I would imagine that if a part is covered then they should keep repairing/replacing the part caused by the underlying fault even if the underlying fault is not covered.born_again said:

I know warranties are a minefield but it seems like B2G are basically just saying that they screwed up and can't afford to fix their mistake so they're just going to say they don't have to.
The good news I guess is that by saying the product is unrepairable due to a manufacturing fault, they've basically admitted liability under consumer rights and should repair or replace the blinds.0 -

Yes anything purchased in 2018 is still enforceable. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
