Potential Excel PCN.

I have had to visit Sutton Coldfield twice this week on business.
As it was a while since I'd been I took a good look at the signs which said if I made a purchase at a selected store I got 3 hours free parking.
So I popped in B&M and also asked a staff member who confirmed this as did another customer, just pop in your reg and its all automated.
I spent about 90 minutes there.
Having to return today I thought I'd double check and a different colleague said no don't do it till you leave or you will get a PCN.
Ironically I was only there 15 minutes today and the company I was working on behalf of would have paid any parking fees.
So I am asking should I wait and see or contact Excel and pre-empt things?

There is nothing you can do except wait to see what happens.
If you do get a PCN, then invoke Plan A, a complaint from the keeper to their MP and the landowner.
If you can park elsewhere, then do so. If there is no alternative, get photos of the site and signage, and download dashcam footage if available.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Thanks. I've taken photos of the signage, it is pretty ambiguous and on neither occasion did I stay longer than 3 hours after my purchase.Fruitcake said:There is nothing you can do except wait to see what happens.

When you say MP does it make a difference if this is not my local area? Its local but 20 miles away so not my constituency.0 -
It is your MP that represents you.Bazzalona13295 said:When you say MP does it make a difference if this is not my local area? Its local but 20 miles away so not my constituency.
You could always suggest to your MP that he might want to consult with another MP.3 -
If to the North of Sutton Coldfield I think that the MP's will be familiar with Excel Parking. Walsall Court has seen plenty of claims recently.KeithP said:
