PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM OFFER AGREED INSURER DELAYING SETTLEMENT

I have agreed a personal injury claim settlement after a car accident, however the insurer has not settled the claim 10 weeks after acceptance of their offer. What can I do to get a payment date?

Are you claiming direct or using a solicitor or other form of representation?
Have you spoken to them to ask what the delay is? In my day half the time it was because we'd asked for bank details to transfer the funds or a signed letter etc and the claimant had missed it and we weren't going to chase them.0 -
I have a solicitor acting on my behalf. I have agreed the offer of settlement and my solicitor advised settlement would normally be within 5 - 7 weeks, 10 weeks later they have not received settlement and have tried chasing the third party insurer. I have asked if this is normal and my solicitor advised it can happen. I have also been advised the only further action I can take would be to reject the offer and issue court proceedings which is not ideal. Does anyone have any advice please?0

You dont need to reject the offer to go to court.
Your paying solicitors and so they are the ones that should be on top of the third party insurer to get the monies paid over.0
