Are there any good national air conditioning installation companies?

Hi, I'm trying to get some AC quotes but not having a lot of luck. One local company are good, but their prices seem to have gone up by over 50% since they quoted in November, one wouldn't quote as our attic room is too high for them to feel comfortable, and I've just had another company quote £20k to install two multisplit units - ideally I want to pay only half that (or less) so I'm after some other options, hopefully some that can cool/heat the house but won't require 7 different internal units (and 2 or 3 outside).
Was wondering if there are any good national companies I can try? Thank you

If you are talking about air to air inverter air conditioning then, the number of internal & external units required will depend on the number of rooms and the floor layout. Some manufacturers sell single external units that can run up to 4 internal units. Mitsubishi & Daikin are the manufacturers and I believe they have their own installers. Suggest you contact them for quotes.0

Don't forget that Planning Permission will be required.
If you're talking aircon/heating to 7 rooms then you need pipes and units to each room with controls ... that's a lot of work and disruption.
LOCAL installers will be preferable to any big Nationals subbing the work to locals...
Boxt may be a national installer?
£20k seems a lot but scaffolding access to the high rooms will be needed for elfin safety and costs money.
ALL the heat pump aircon companies do multi splits.
Mitsubishi could be either of two unconnected companies MHI (M.Heavy Industries) and ME (M.Electric).
Brand installers are simply locals who have paid for and received the appropriate training. They can provide extended warranties as a result usually.
If you hadn't noticed there's rampant inflation at present, so costs are spiralling. £ is weak against the $ and other currencies for the import of heat pump kit.0 -
AC installations costs will always be more expensive in the summer due to higher demand. Perhaps wait until Autumn when summer heat is a distant memory for most people - then you might find that AC companies are looking to fill install slots and reduce prices slightly. But isn't going to magically reduce from £20k to £10k.
Failing that, if you have a fixed budget then you might just need to reduce the number of units. 7 rooms/units would be excessive in most cases - deal with the worst case rooms and you'll find that this improves surrounding rooms as well.
Condenserless heat pumps from Powrmatic or similar can reduce installation costs as you don't need external condensers or length pipework runs. That was cheaper than multi split systems for us and can be installed by anyone as don't need FGas qualifications to handle.0 -
Have you looked at boxt?0
