VM Contract ending

I got a Broadband only deal with VM for £19 per month for 100MB Fibre Optic, I noticed it’s due to end on the 16th August 2023; after which it will jump up to £44, so I’ll definitely have to change it as that’s way to high for me, I probably don’t need 100mb anyway, all I want it for is streaming mainly, for the usual streaming services, I know prices have probably hiked up since I got this in Feb last year, and I have started trawling websites looking, but I thought I would ask on, if anyone here would be so kind as to suggest any good recommendations, would I still get a good enough deal that I had with VM or are the prices similar to that passed?

Call Virgin first, they will offer you price. You can quote £21 for now broadband, the first person you speak to probably won’t be able to get near to that. Say it’s too expensive and you want to cancel, they will put you through to another person who in theory has better deals. If you still not happy put in your 30 day cancellation notice. They may then call you back from a different retentions department who have the best deals, ie where your £19 may have come from in first place. Make sure your marketing preferences are set so they can contact you. They usually take a contact number off you when you cancel. You still have 30 days to change your mind so nothing to lose really1

Have a look at uswitch to get comparison prices..you may be able to get Three 5G there..that’s about £20pm. You can use that in conversation with Virgin, as that’s quick speed1
