Have you spoken to the buyer? Has he just got cold feet about the purchase, or is this a scam?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Hi,

I was in touch with the buyer throughout today.

He apologised and claimed because I didn't respond yesterday whilst at work he thought I scammed him.

He claimed he rang his bank this morning to drop any claims, he then told me the bank told him he has to inspect the parcel first then let them know.

He then said the bank promised to unblock within 24 hours.

Basically he has changed his story a few times.

I told him to refuse the parcel tomorrow so its sent back to me and he got all defensive so I told him I will no longer talk to him and I'll deal directly with the bank / authorities.

Was the communication via the ebay messages?

    Facebook marketplace.

I have already sent the conversation to the fraud department at the bank, along with the proof of postage and tracking information.

I went into the branch first thing and spoke with someone who phoned through to the team and they said there's nothing they can do other than follow the protocol....

This is why I always have people bank transfer into a ‘spare’ account - not my main account. I know it doesn’t help you now, but something to bear in mind for future sales.

    Small update on this..

Still no movement on banks.. not been provided an update or anything. Called numerous times to both...

Seems like a broken system to me.
