Lloyds group account closure

More to this than a dispute.
The delivered but left in my bin which was emptied whilst my daughter was in children’s hospital. Lloyds have given me the money back that’s why I’m so confused!
This is not a valid reason for a chargeback. If you had said that you would have been told sorry, nothing we can do. As part of the chargeback you get refunded, but not by your bank, it is claimed from retailer bank.
So unless you failed to mention the bin was emptied & simply said I never received the goods. Which would lead retailer to contest on the basis they have proof of delivery. So if you had told company this & they then informed bank, then bank could view it as "Breech of trust" as you had lied to them.
But you then would be re-debited the amount.
That & given maybe how the bank then viewed the account may have lead to the 60 day closure. 60 days is bank deciding they no longer want you as a customer. Anything else is basically a immediate closure.

Hmmm interesting Lloyds are asking for the paper counterpart to accompany your photo driving licence if going in branch to claim your balance considering the paper counterpart was abolished in June 2015 and the DVLA asked you to destroy the paper counterpart if you still had one…2

It doesn't matter what proof they have that it was put in the bin.
Especially, if you never asked them to put it in the bin in the first place.
I am surprised that you needed to contact the bank, amazon are usually pretty eager to refund if you say you didn't receive something.

Consumer rights is a different matter.
It was a marketplace purchase.
Seems far from this dispute that has raised issues from that letter.Life in the slow lane0 -

We do have a joint account with virgin that I haven’t used since we separated so that link is on my credit report.
haven’t had the cifas report back yet and can’t see anything on my report at the moment.
I have opened a Monzo account online that was pretty straight forward just have to manually transfer direct debits etc as Lloyds won’t let me do a switching service due to the block on the account. Just annoying and inconvenient with a disabled baby and direct payments still going into the account so I have to physically go in branch which isn’t local and withdraw in person if they even let me I don’t know.Good move on getting a Monzo account sorted. Even if it just becomes a backup eventually, P1 is to have a functional bank account and you've seen to that now. A couple of weeks at most and you should have things working as almost normal, just a few phone calls and stuff to do.The only pitfall, which I didn't think of before, is that paying cash in to Monzo costs money. Maybe get a Starling account open as well (they allow deposits up to £1000/year free at a Post Office)? The legal status of your marriage is not important, a financial link is what's pertinent and that can apply between any 2 individuals regardless of legal relationship. It'd be a good idea to get yourself removed from that Virgin Money account or get it closed down so the link between you both closes. If you know your ex-husband hasn't had his accounts closed you can be pretty sure it's not him tho.1 -
Nothing on cifas or would it be too soon?Weirdly when I called Lloyds on the number from the closure letter she advised to go in branch and see if I can open another account? I just don’t understand the logic. Anyway going in branch tomorrow to withdraw what’s left in there0
