My praise has to go to BG for their help when our electricity failed. It was on Saturday pm and we had no power. I rang BG home care team and the earliest they could send someone out was on Sunday. However the advisor said they would speak to their manager to see what they could do and would phone me back in 15 mins.
As good as the advisors word they phoned back and said if I could find an electrican myself that day they would pay all the costs. I managed to find a really good company and they they came out within three hours and the power was restored and extremely reasonable. I expected to have to pay straightaway but they instead invoiced us and gave us 10 working days to pay. However I did pay on receipt of the invoice. I sent the invoice to BG for reimbursement and they have just sent a text today the amount claimed would be paid directly into my bank account.

Hi,this sounds as though it was an internal fault, what was the problem? Is BG homeware a monthly insurance type plan, for breakdown/faults?0

Possibly "Homecare"? There's also cover for electrics in addition to boilers and heating.
