I am happy i switched away from the Santander esaver account.

Chip have increased their interest rate to 4.51%

I have some funds which are not growing but guess it's long term.

Why would you expect these to be related?

They are not related but didn't want to post twice.

Happy with savings. Just a rant with the funds but guess not been in for years.

So will take time to grow. Economy uncertainty not helping. But US doing better than the UK.

That fund is up more than 7% over the past year. On average it has returned 8.5% per year over the past three years, 7.75% per year for the past five years

Ok will give it time. I haven't been in up to a year. Started this from beginning of the year. Had other funds then sold them all to have this one.

The price i had bought them at the start had dropped.
So transfer in February costs more than the units bought in April.

Hopefully coming years would have grown.

Sure. In 5 years it might well have grown. In 10 year it is very likely to have grown. However there is a chance it will not. Best thing to do is forget about it for the time being.

This is why investment is truly a long term thing and I need to stop logging into my Iweb account to check.

    Today it's positive

But the VGAC returned, what 47% over the last 5 years.  Your savings account probably a teeny tiny bit less.
