Fraudulent transaction on eBay

I bought an item from eBay a couple of days ago for £184 and paid by credit card using PayPal.
The next day I get an e-mail from eBay saying the seller has been suspended and that I should not pay. A couple of hours later I get an e-mail from the seller saying that their account has been hacked and the police have been involved as it is fraud.
I've already filed a claim with PayPal using their dispute resolution process and provided all the details eBay gave me, but I've just read that even if my claim is successful I am only covered up to £150.
What should I do? Should I cancel the claim and contact my credit card company instead?

wouldnt overly worry, do the paypal claim first and the if there is a difference contact your credit card company.
This makes the process of claiming through your credit card easier as you can complain that if paypal only give you a partial refund, paypal have agreed your due a refund and the credit card can then reclaim the difference.
Done this before, you get a few months to claim back from your card"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0
