Aviva zero car insurance

  • My car has been waiting for 6 days in london for transfer to Leeds. I can’t get a curtesy car until my car arrives and no idea when it will get there. Is there anything I can do. I have a vulnerable mother in law who can manage on her own

What has this to do with an insurance policy?

I would assume this is following an accident
problem is it will usually take 2-3 days for the car to be recovered that distance
that is assuming the car is repairable in any case

I purchased a Aviva Zero policy and spoke to live chat and wanted to amend a date. I had purchased the policy today but charged £16.51 for the change even though the policy does not come into force for another few weeks.

    This cannot be right!

Depends if the change is an admin fee or the premium

you could have been charged an admin fee then had a reduction in premium knocked off

Seems reasonable to charge you for making a change to your policy. Fairly standard for car insurers. The admin costs the same whether the insurance has started or not.
