eBay, packlink and Evri tracking is broken

a few months ago I bought something on ebay and I was in a rush to get it so was checking the tracking daily. It was sent using Evri. after 3 days I got a message saying "return to sender requested" ?!
I message the seller who said they knew nothing about it, and then the next day it finally arrived with me so no idea what went on.
fast forward to today and I have a similar problem with an item i'm sending that I sold on eBay. 3 days after posting the buyer messages me to say he can't collect it from the click and collect place because it's been sent back to me (it hasn't) and, looking at the eBay tracking it shows all sorts of rubbish about not collected, ready to collect, requested return to sender, problem with address, delay etc.
I then go to the packlink page, and check the tracking (which seems to link dierectly to Evri) and it just seems to be delayed, arrived at the destination sorting hub after 1 day and hasn't been moved since, until today when it says out for delivery finally.
all the timestamps for the tracking are the same on both tracking pages, but the ebay text is utter nonsense and doesn't correctly relate to the Evri info

2 items I sent last month had not been updated by ebay.
The one I sent by Evri has just been updated to "delivered" this morning (after nearly a month) The one I sent by RM is still showing as not "delivered" by ebay.
I bought my own postage for both and they were delivered at the correct time by the two companies and showing on their websites as such.
Could it be something to do with not buying my postage though ebay???0 -
the one I sent was purchased through eBay. I have actually raised a case as it's still not been delivered, turns out it's been rejected from the click & collect centre , and to quote the CS "the reason for this is likely that is was not correctly labelled and didn't have an eCP"
and I have checked the address details and there is an eCP number in the address, so no idea whats going on0
