UK Savings Account Whilst Resident in the EU

We're currently resident in the EU and have rental income from our UK home that could do with being in a savings account.

Does anyone know of a bank or provider that will allow us to open and operate a savings account from overseas?

If you have more than £10,000 and are happy with holding an offshore account, Skipton International might suit.

Have a look at HSBC as I think that they are one of the few that will let non-UK residents open an account although 1stDirect do not.

Also be aware that many of the alternatives are Jersey / Guernsey based and some EU counties have blacklisted them and apply higher tax rates to interest earned in them.
