What supplier?!

My daughter & her young family (4, 2 & new) have just moved into a rented property, with both gas & electric. It seems that it's pre payment meters. The gas has just run out & it looks like the electric isn't far behind. They have no idea who the suppliers are, nor does the agent. Nothing to indicate supplier on or around meter. How best to proceed?!

The agent sounds useless. They should have provided you with documentation informing you of the energy supplier(s) and giving the meter readings on the day your rental agreement started.Read both meters, register with the supplier(s) and make sure you get your own meter keys, cards or accounts.Never use the landlord's or a previous occupier's key or card because it could have debt on it.5
