How long can you keep the "interest free" overdraft of £250 offered by First direct current account?

It doesn't say on there nor anywhere online. Does anyone know how long the £250 interest-free overdraft can be kept for before you need to pay it back or face interest charges? Thanks!

I’ve had an account with the £250 overdraft for 20 plus years.

I take it that you mean you are in the O/D all the time. Rather than never using it?

As with all O/D's they can be closed at any point. But that call would be made on how you are managing your account, not only with them but elsewhere as well.

I've had mine maxed out for months. If they were desperate for it back, they could take it from my regular savings account.

I don't use it that often, but it's been in place since I set the account up nearly 10 years ago.

I had a First Direct current account for 25 years (1990 - 2015), and the £250 free overdraft facility was in place for the whole of that period (though never used!).

I think the OP is asking whether there is a limit for a maxed-out overdraft.

I applied for a First Direct account in December. Also applied for the overdraft support at 0%
Its been maxed out at £500 ever since, as has my HSBC one
I did get a letter from HSBC asking me to reduce my overdraft to £40 in about February. I ignored it. Nothing happened
