Energy standing charges compared

Hi all,
With the price cap, I guess all energy companies charge the same these days. Is there any utility (no pun intended) in shopping around? Is there any difference in the companies' standing charges and, if so how would I find the cheapest one?

Octopus have for a few years offered standing charges c.4% below the cap, I'm not sure if that's still the case with the latest price change.

Utilita I believe have a 0 standing charge tariff (it's loaded onto the first 2 kWh) but I don't know if it's still available nor how the unit rates of >2kWh work out.

Beyond that I think it's probably a case of finding if any fixes are offered.

Octopus rates are here https://octopus.energy/blog/energy-price-cap-july-2023/ (scroll down a fair way)
And should you decide to switch to any particular supplier, see if they do a referral scheme (I know Octopus do as we each have a code, Eon do as well but I don't know about others).

Utility Warehouse offer cheaper standing charges on their variable tariffs although to get the bigger discounts you need to take additional services.
