Istanbul connecting flights: is Staysure more "generous" than Insureandgo/Allclear

I am trying to interpret these policies. (Also I have just noticed that the Insureandgo policy is now almost identical to Allclear (Allclear bought them out a couple of years ago.)

When one flies on a through ticket with Turkish Airlines, for example Holiday in Mongolia. Fly out on the same ticket all with TA: London to Istanbul then Istanbul to Mongolia. And same back home again.

Supposing the outward London flight is delayed and one misses the booked connection at Istanbul. OR the outward London flight is fine, but the flight from Istanbul to Mongolia is delayed.

So one is stuck in Istanbul. What and when can one claim (assuming the length of the delay is long enough)?

Am I reading and interpreting this correctly or wrongly (as usual!)

I believe that IAG/AC  do not cover much at all in this scenario in their Section 4, which is all they have. I suspect it means NO payments at all for any delays where it is the connecting flight that is delayed??.

If your outward or return flights, sea crossing, coach or train departure to or from your home country   etc etc.

And also that thing with the red warning hand pointer. (I do not really follow what this wording means. What is a final international departure point from your home country referring to??)

.....This section only applies for delays at your final international departure point to or from your home country

However, does Staysure actually cover some costs in this scenario within their Section 15: Extended Travel Delay and Enforced Stay cover? Even where it is the connecting flight that is delayed??.

Page 34  If the scheduled public transport on which you are booked to travel is cancelled or delayed, leading to your departure being delayed for more than 12 hours at the departure point of any connecting public transport in the United Kingdom or to your overseas destination or on the return journey to your home, we will pay:

Thank you for your help.

(I do not trust what I am told on the phone, these days. It depends who picks up! I have sent a mail to IAG for confirmation. But would like your impressions on the Staysure one, before I ask them.)
