New home, new full fibre and new router.
Tried to connect printer (HP deskjet 3050 J610) to wifi network via WPS (multiple times!) but it just 'times out'.
Router is fine as i connected laptop using WPS, so it must be the printer.
Is there another way to connect? Or what might i be doing wrong ?

Have you installed the HP software and followed the setup procedure. In some cases you might need to do a full reset or connect the printer to the laptop temporarily to run the troubleshooter.
(Personally I would never have an HP again, they are buggy, annoying and expensive to run)1 -
Is the wifi set up as 2.4GHz or 5Ghz?
SOme printers will only connect to 2.41 -
Also try moving printer close to router.Life in the slow lane0

So the wifi is set at 5ghz?propertyrental said:marlot said:Is the wifi set up as 2.4GHz or 5Ghz?

What is the printer set to? Chances are it's 2.4ghz as above hence why the printer can't connect
I had the same issue when connecting my printer to the network1 -

Don't know and no idea how to check printer.
Does that mean chucking away an (otherwise) good printer and buying a new one!?

Should be in the settings on the printer or in the documentation , failing that Google it
No no you can change the frequency you broadcast at in your router settings, again if you're not sure how to do this Google is your friend1
