What kind of things do you want to see/do?  Where will you be staying and do you have a car?
Leeds offers everything from the bars & restaurants in the city centre to beautiful walks in the countryside and everything in between!

I’ll be staying in Leeds city centre and will be using public transport.
I’d like to go to museum, maybe see a comedy show  and have a nice lunch / dinner somewhere.

I would recommend the Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster, but not sure about getting there by public transport.  Otherwise, try Tropical World at Roundhay Park.  Look for what's on when you are there at the First Direct Arena, maybe a comedy show or music to your taste.  Food, there is a great range of fantastic eateries at the Waterfront.

Depends how long you are here for and what you want to see.

Leeds City Museum and Art Gallery are both in the city centre and close to each other to do both. Royal Armouries is a ten minute walk from the station along the river, or if its running there is a free water taxi.

Armley Mills is an industrial museum out of town,  bus ride (72 or X6 towards Bradford, get off at Armley Canal Road) or a 30 minute or so walk along the canal from the station.

A 15 minute train ride will get you to Saltaire to Salts Mill David Hockney Gallery, well worth a visit to the village and mill which also has shops and a cafe/bistro.

Leeds has restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets so it depends what type of food you like.

If you are arriving at lunch-time on Friday, try the deals at Little Tokyo, close to the market, Tharavadu very close to the station or go to the Manjit's kitchen in Leeds indoor market (far end). And grab a half in Whitlock's off Briggate (next to M&S).

The pubs and yards along Lower Briggate and Briggate could absorb a few hours even if you don't stop for drinks. Add in St John's church in Upper Briggate if you wish.

The water taxi may now be £1 but it's a brilliant way to see the city from a different angle and get to or from the Armouries, goes from below the lock at the back of the rail station. If you are on public transport consider a £4.50/£5 metro card. There are buses to Harewood (walk the public paths in the estate and watch the kites), Shipley near Salt's Mill, Roundhay Park,  Armley Mills, and Kirkstall Abbey and Museum.

If you go to the Art Gallery, take in the Tiled Hall. And if you are in town, check the Leeds Library in Commercial Street, above the Co-op Bank. Sign in for a wander round.

If it's chucking it see whether Hyde Park Picture House has a film?
