Car Insurance Renewal after surrender licence

I have had a couple of unexplained collapses the last one being August 2022 and told I needed to surrender my licence, which I did, until I have been fine for 12 months. Nearly there. The consultant has implanted a heart monitor and the old ticker has been as good as gold, not skipped a beat and monitored 24/7.   It's now time for me to reapply with the GP and consultant approval so I have two questions.  I have been given a section 88 letter to cover me until they renew the licence which means I can legally drive when the 12 months have passed,

Is it possible to get insured with a section 88 and do they inflate the prices?

Once I get my licence back in full can the insurance companies use this to inflate my premium?  I've read that as my condition doesn't affect my driving I'm protected under the Disability Discrimination Act but I don't know if this is true.
