Did write a longer post but it was very techie, but basically I have a electronics device that needs to be between pc and tv as its a old fashioned crt and the device and leads are heavy so easy to fall down the back and then I have to move a chunky old tv to get to device.
I am trying to work out a way that can keep the device from falling behind and still be accessible as well as not show all the cabling.
Option one was use masking tape and put that on top of tv and also under device and then use adhesive or epoxy to stick the 2 together that way if I ever need to move it in future the tv and device won't be damaged and I can just peel off the tape.
Well that is the only thing I came up with, due to lengths of cables and accessibility I can't find the middle ground, I was thinking of somehow mounting it to wall behind my monitor and hiding cables but can't work out if that would work.

You could try stick on Velcro, can buy it in longer lengths too2

Sticky velcro pads? I have a couple of things mounted behind or on the TV like that, like a DAC for converting optical audio from the TV for input to an old amplifier.2

You can buy velchro by the meter. Single, both hook and loop.
You can buy the two together, plain or self adhesive.
Good strong stuff. From a fabric or curtain shop.
Not expensive. The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

As above - it's powerful stuff.
Don't over-do it - I'd try just one strip first! And, when removing device, lift at one side and 'peel'.
Clean mounting surfaces thoroughly, especially if spray polish has been used on it at some point (anti-stick). Perhaps gently 'scour' clean, and fully dry.
If the Tele has a suitably flat mounting surface, I'd stick it to that and save your wall.
CRT, eh? Worth a bleedin' fortune :-)0 -
Tesco normally sell the self adhesive velcro, and also sticky wall pads for putting pictures up that should work, or double sided sticky tape
The masking tape would also work, use superglue to stick the two together and it provides a really good bond1 -
+1 for velcro tape
Or
Small shelf?
Metal brackets to screw unit to wall?1 -
Wonder how much power the CRT TV uses? Replacing it with a modern LED TV could pay for itself in energy savings - and make it easier to place the other equipment, or eliminate the need for it entirely?

So the velcro strip method worked, I did put masking tape on the tv just in case as if I ever have to remove the strips I won't damage the tv or the plastic or if the box breaks and I need a replacement I can just replace the tape and not cut more strips.

Masking tape is designed to not be particularly sticky or permanent - all the old stuff I've seen has curled up and flaked!
I know you love your ol' CRT, but - seriously - will you ever be selling it on? If not, just focus on getting that box to stick well!0
