They certainly do delete bills when they think they've being wrong. I was with Outfox for 11 months and downloaded my monthly bills then when I had a complaint, of my own making, re the readings they deleted all the old bills to work out the new bills but I had copies of them so if they tried anything I could refer to any of the bills they deleted just as I could the new bills.Xbigman said:Which company is it? Some delete all old bills when they rebill so I would certainly download all the old bills (assuming not on paper) otherwise it will be impossible to work out what they've done.

In summary, they can revise the unit rates on the bill going back to July 2022 and re-bill her for that increased amount. The older amounts they can adjust the bill and keep any payments and credit accrued, but they cannot charge her more/ask for more money for those older bills.
It will be treated as if she had zero credit as of July 2022 and then the revised bill for the period since will reflect the higher unit rates. Once you get that you can attempt to ask for a gesture of good will, a write off etc, you may get somewhere, you may not.

Thanks for the explanation, I can see how people wont understand that, seems a little unfair to me how account credit is handled, but I suppose the rule is designed to prevent a unlimited shock large expenditure on people when the blame is the supplier's side and credit is money the consumer has already lost from their bank account.
