I put a thread on last year regarding my existing Pc and received many helpful replies.
I've tried and done quite a few changes and alterations to my existing PC, but I've now decided that I'm in the market for a new PC.
So I'm looking for a tower Pc up to about the £500-00 mark.
Use is just internet and files etc, no gaming or anything specialised.
So if any member can point me in the direction of where to get one from, i.e Curry's etc etc where ever, and of course which actual PC model and make.
I would be grateful for any pointers, advice.
Thank you for all/any replies.

I have a HP Z210 tower workstation, it's about 10 years old.
I have a new Phillips wide screen monitor so just the tower, thanks.0 -

If its just internet and files do you really need a new PC? I run some old operating systems in a virtual machine that
is only assigned 2GB RAM and 2 CPU cores and it makes very little difference to browsing compared to using the
browser on the main machine with tons of RAM and many CPU cores.

This sort of thing is plenty for your needs and a great price too
£500 is overkill for Internet however computeractive magazine recommends a palidrome tower pc for £500 I'll see if I can find the link1 -

Think it's this one, however lose the monitor and the hybrid drive and get a ssd for an extra fiver and that brings it to around 4851 -

Ignore the last post it's this one
I always recommend getting a m.2 ssd as they are very quick but not at there prices! (Samsung 500gb 970 Pro is only 30 quid)
Have you considered building your own pc?1 -
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

I don't have the time or the knowledge to build a new PC and do not wish to add/ remove parts etc on my existing machine. I've added parts to other machines in years gone by but now just get a up to date working Pc.
I have amended start up, programs etc, my line speed is good but machine is 'very clunky' and I'm fed up with it.0 -
Thanks for all replies, perhaps wait for a good sale price from some where like Curry's, I understand business and their trading position is not good, so may be some bargains before too long.0
