Digital Voice - Analogue Devices

We have an analogue device that we will need to keep after the phones switch over to DV. It just plugs into the phone socket.
Under DV, we will have to move over to DECT devices that communicate with the Dect hub inside the router. There seem to be adapters around for legacy analogue devices. For example:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Disty-300-cordless-DECT-Basis/dp/B0034ARYUM
How do I find out whether this will work with my Fritzbox router?
And, are there other, cheaper solutions?

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It may be helpful to let us know what the analogue device is which you need to use. It may be that your device is obselete or has a newer model which would work better or they may be other solutions we can suggest.0

It's a 25 year old alarm system. The cost of changing that is around £1000.

Hard to know without details, but if the router has an analogue phone converter socket (usually coloured green and/or labled 'Phone') then all you may need is something like this to connect the existing equipment into the green socket:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rhinocables®-Socket-Telephone-Adaptor-White/dp/B00EVS5UZ2/One of the commenters there says that after converting to DV he used it to connect his old analogue phone to a FRITZ!Box 7530 Router.Whether it works for you or not may depend on if the old alarm system uses pulse or tone dialing, but for the price it's got to be worth a try if you have the socket on your router.

Just a normal analogue phone extension cable from the alarm to the router then. The main point is to get from the phone plug on the alarm to the RJ11/RJ14 socket on the router, the rest is just running a cable.(PS. RJ11/RJ14 are the same plug and socket, the difference is just the number of wires. RJ14 has more wires connected so can be used in place of RJ11, but not the other way round).1

If you have a good sparky they tend to be really good at finding clever ways to get wires and cables from one place to another, regardless of the solid walls/shark tanks/hyperspace wormholes in the way.
