Paint for outside steps

I'd like to paint some white stripes along the edges of the steps in the garden.

I'm not sure what paint yo use. Any recommendations?

what type of steps?  stone? wood? We have wooden steps and have rough strips at the edge to prevent slips and then just did the wood with decking stain.

I've used Bedec all purpose paint on my back step.
It lasts really well through all weathers and use.
It's also water based so brushes wash out.
You can get 750ml tins which is probably all you need
It's available from some hardware stores, on Amazon and direct from the company.
    Delivery good and quick.

Bedec is a good suggestion. Don't use garage floor paint in my experience it peels when used outside.
  • I needed to mark a couple of park bays at STC Towers 4 years ago. These are white lines about 200mm x 50mm to help when reversing into the bays. I didn't have any floor paint so I used some water based, white, undercoat. The markings are still there but could do with a refresh, although they have lasted well for 4 years
