Sadly this tells us nothing about the scam, the company, what they arent doing that theyre meant to do or what you want to get back from them.
A quick Google search produced this: http://www.ahuja.co.uk/
They look like a dodgy property ramping company like Inside Track which are well known for ripping off the unwary.0 -
Thanks for replying this is my story : I've met Ahuja team at the property forum in August, they were offering to source 4 tenanted properties in US for a sourcing fee of £4000, I did make some research on internet they seems genuine and i wanted to invest in US, after 2 months and no prop ....
i was told to wait as they had a waiting list i then ask for a refund but nothing up to now.
I am writting this for people to avoid this compagny.0 -
If you've paid for a service that has not been provided, and can prove you have, then send a letter recorded delivery stating that you consider the company in breach of contract and demand a refund. If they dont respond then contact trading standards and take them to the small claims court, the same as you would do if you paid for anything else that didnt transpire.
I would ask yourself if I hadnt had a lucky escape if I were you though. Are you aware of the housing crash in the States caused by Sub-prime lending and the credit crunch. Honestly you'd have to be nuts to actually want to buy into that - yes you lost £4000 but it could have been a lot worse.
These companies are a total scam. If they did source property for you you would pay well over the odds at best and at worst be purchasing property that was effectively unsellable at any price in the local market.
If you get your £4000 back and honestly think that you still must buy property in the largest falling house market on the planet then invest it in telephone calls to some realtors over there and a couple of return flights to go over and buy yourself in person. You will be much less likely to be ripped off and the admin costs would be a fraction of whatever that dodgy looking bald bloke on the front of that website will charge you.0 -
As I have said many times on this forum, companies like these are run by lying thieves and are best avoided.dolce vita's stock reply templates
#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided
#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now
#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing0 -
Hi guys
Just to let you know, if you haven't heard already, CapitalGrowthUK.com, conned lots of investors out off hundreds of thousands of pounds over a period of 6 months and now are in liquidation. I was one of them who lost a lot of money. I went to the creditors meeting and found out that just 5 days before liquidation, their director MR Qamar Siddiqi appointed himself as director of another company Portfolio Builders UK. No doubt he's trying to con some more investors through his new company.
Stay away from these guys. They promise 2 yr rental guarantees, deposit paid etc it's all a big con. I saw Mr Siddiqi and he looks every bit the real scam artist.
Before you buy any property, do your due dilligence. If you see any directors called Siddiqi, then stay away. The other director of the company is his brothers, Saqeb Siddiqi and Zac Siddiqi. They now have an offic in:
PORTFOLIO BUILDERS UK LTD
SUITE 21 LORDS BUSINESS CENTRE
LORDS HOUSE
665 NORTH CIRCULAR ROAD
LONDON
NW2 7AX
Spread the word...

The article is entitled-why buy to let seminars can be a waste of time and money(google) I cant do links0 -

Stay away from these guys as well at Portfolio Builders UK – www.portfoliobuilders.co.uk
The company is run by the Siddiqi brothers with the main director being Qamar Siddiqi. These are the guys who scammed nearly 50+ investors through their last company Capitalgrowthuk.com. They promised deals with guaranteed rental income (rental company linked to CapitalGrowthuk.com) through company called REM and offering 15-20% discount on properties just as they are now through their new company Portolio Builders UK. Even though the company was in trouble, they kept collecting monies from investors and eventually went into liquidation. Investors lost over £500,000. No one knows where the money disappeared to. The Siddiqi brothers have done a good job in hiding their money somewhere. At the creditors meeting, Mr Siddiqi avoided nearly all of the questions regarding the whereabouts of the money. He said it all went on expenses. When investors asked for their money back, they kept stalling and refused to answer emails, phone calls etc. Eventually, they went into liquidation. By this time, Mr Siddiqi had already started another company www.portfoliobuilders.co.uk. No doubt, they are trying the same scam since they believe they got away with the last one. However, they are now under investigation from FSA. Hopefully, they will not get away with their last scam.
So, make sure you stay away from these guys. Believe me, It’s not a good feeling when you get scammed for £20-30K.0
