ok - I think that is enough now.
It may well be that the OP's bank doesn't report to the CRA in question and so there is no way of verifying the account (or checking it hasn't been flagged for some sort of misuse reason). If so it would be up to L&G to choose to put in a workaround for this scenario if it affected enough of their pension account holders.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

If you tell us the bank, we can then ridicule you for choosing such a new age version, whilst we reassure ourselves that our choosing of the usual high street rip offs made sense after all.1

Can a mod change the thread title to put "bank" in quotes so as not to confuse others who may read this thread in future and think L&G cannot transfer funds to real banks.0

I can take three speculative guesses as to why someone might not want to reveal which bank they are with, which have nothing to do with security risk, but are more of a personal privacy matter.Firstly, there are plenty of banks incorporated in the UK which are affiliated with nations in Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia, and our poster might not want to reveal information that might give us an impression about their racial background.Secondly, there are plenty of banks incorporated in the UK which are affiliated with religions, and our poster might not want to reveal information that might give us an impression about their religious background. Finally, it could be Nigel Farage, trying to move enough money out of his pension to get his Coutts membership back.5

The OP's attitude and reluctance to name the bank makes it a whole lot harder to help them. Not sure why they bothered to post. Maybe this thread should be moved to the "Rant" section.3
