Credit card dispute confusion

Ok a while back I ordered from Amazon, box arrived bashed about and so I returned items and got label from Amazon but it seemed lost in post, and another item ordered at same time I returned as it was part of the project I had planned to do they got this one back but claimed they didn't.
I went to my card provider who opened a case but today rang me to say they had "documentation" back and are taking the funds back from me, nothing to say what the documentation is but a letter will be in post.
I was very confused and mentioned the problem and they told me to take it up with Amazon as there is nothing else they can do.
It was a chargeback not a S75
The amount is about £250 in total.
Where can I go with this?

Not sure from 1st bit how many items or boxes you returned.
Is this a Amazon or Marketplace purchase?
But if it was on a Amazon prepaid label, then it is up to Amazon to chase the lost package/s & refund you.Life in the slow lane0 -
Think it was 4 items in 1st box and just 1 in 2nd.

What about some proof of sending? Today I returned an item to ebay with their label and was given a proof.

I would assume its much more balanced than that... if the merchant shows the tracking for the prepaid label shows it was never collected/scanned and the OP has no evidence they sent it then it would almost certainly result in the chargeback/S75 being declined.born_again said:But if it was on a Amazon prepaid label, then it is up to Amazon to chase the lost package/s & refund you.0 -
To be clearer the tracking which I provided shows as taken to post office, picked up from post office and then to a hub at which point it stops.

I have twice returned multiple items to Amazon in the same box and they've later claimed they didn't receive them all. A call to Amazon customer services sorted things out for me on both occasions.0

Which is why the chargeback failed.dekaspace1 said:To be clearer the tracking which I provided shows as taken to post office, picked up from post office and then to a hub at which point it stops.
You now need to invoke your consumer rights with either Amazon (if purchased direct from them) or the retailer if a MarketPlace purchase.Life in the slow lane0
