A friend of mine had money taken out of his bank account by direct debit 
which pushed him over his overdraft limit .
And then three more direct debits were not paid due to lack of funds.
we phoned the people responsible for the direct debit which
took the money out, and found out that they had made a error and no
charge should have been made.
all money has been returned and the three direct debits have been
paid.
This has taken about ten days to sort out will this affect
my friends credit score?
if so what action should we take.

His credit score doesn't matter.

Are there any missed payments showing on his file for the three accounts ?
