VirginMedia Forget Speaking To Someone

Woke this morning to get the Green Screen Of Death on V6 box. Went online, google and see means hard drive has died. Phone up Virgin, so no you do not speak to a real person just text sent telling me to do the usual check wires turn off hub, which is useless for the Green Screen Error. Of course the message on the TV is do not unplug or switch as it tries to self repair. Reading online this is useless and the box needs replaced. Yes, someone is coming to look at the fault, but I hope they actually have a V6 box in the van.

I was with VirginMedia for about two weeks (their sales team told me they had coverage, whereas their accounts team later told me they did not after setting up account + DD).
Even during that tiny window, it was probably the worst experience I've ever had with a company, and I'm usually very understanding having close ties with my CS team at work. Starting a live chat at work in the morning, not receiving a reply until the evening. "Wrong department" seemed to be a 'Get out of Jail Free Card' that the support staff enjoyed to pull often, firing you off in to another seemingly random department with a queue. Could barely understand any of the staff, all CS I physically spoke to seemed to be based in India. They'd all say different things, would promise things that would never materialise, horrendous.
I eventually had to ask the CRA's to intervene and remove the account from my credit files (despite never actually receiving a service from Virgin!).
Their customer service is so far beyond bad, if they didn't have a pseudo-monopoly with their product, they'd be out of business tomorrow.Know what you don't0 -

They should have a replacement....only thing is as we found out in the past the boxes may not be new they have a selection of refurb units carried on the vans (still same rights with it etc)

He came and said all he had done that day was replacing boxes. There was an update on the 11th July and quite a few boxes had their DVR fried. The new box weather reburied is working and that is all I ask.
